The Curriculum Programs We
Offer
01
Curriculum Coaching
We provide online coaching with local application for a professional development process aimed at supporting teachers and educators in improving their instructional practices and developing effective, student-centered curricula. The goal of curriculum coaching is to help educators design, implement, and refine curricula to better include ethnobotanical knowledge including traditional ecological knowledge, sustainability, land stewardship, food sovereignty, story telling as well as oral tradition and hands on activities,
03
Curriculum Writing
Incorporating Indigenous knowledge, cultural practices, and a deep respect for the land into educational frameworks. This kind of curriculum aims to honor the traditional knowledge systems and relationship to the land that Indigenous communities have maintained for seven generations past and are looking to provide to seven generations in the future.
02
Curriculum Design
For land based curriculum design, we work on the basics to compliment and in some cases supplement state and federal curricula. To do this we identify learning objectives, content, strategies, cultural relevance and more. Holistic and experiential learning are the foundation of the design and intergenerational teachings are vital. Integral to curriculum design design is land as a teacher- the plants, the water, the animals and humans in the place based structures. We incorporate language, stewardship and traditional ecological knoledge (TEK).
